Discover the Zesty Elixir: Lemon Vodka Unveiled

Indulging in the world of spirits, one cannot help but marvel at the exquisite blend of flavours that ignite the senses. Among these delightful concoctions, lemon vodka stands out as a zesty elixir that has garnered an ever-growing fan base. Renowned for its refreshing taste and versatility, lemon vodka has found its place in the hearts of both seasoned connoisseurs and casual enthusiasts alike.

The Essence of Lemon Vodka:

Lemon vodka is a flavored variant of the classic clear spirit, vodka. It undergoes a meticulous infusion process, combining notes of dry aniseed/rye spice from barley, with the zesty spritz of candied lemon. The result is a delightful fusion of the vodka's purity and the invigorating essence of lemon scented gum, producing a libation that captures the spirit of summer in every sip.

A Symphony of Flavors:

The allure of lemon vodka lies in its multifaceted flavour profile. As you raise the glass to your lips, you're greeted with an invigorating burst of citrus that enlivens the palate. The tangy notes of lemon intermingle seamlessly with the vodka's smoothness, striking a perfect balance between sweet and sour.

Versatility in Mixology:

One of the key reasons behind lemon vodka's soaring popularity is its remarkable versatility in mixology. Its zesty character serves as an excellent base for a plethora of cocktails, ranging from the classic Lemon Drop Martini to the ever-popular Vodka Sour. When paired with a medley of fresh fruits or herb-infused syrups, lemon vodka transforms into a symphony of flavours that tantalize taste buds and leave a lasting impression.

A Sip of Refreshment:

Lemon vodka is not only favoured in cocktails but also enjoyed on its own. Neat or on the rocks, this delightful spirit offers a crisp and revitalizing experience that is unparalleled. It serves as the perfect companion during hot summer days, offering a cooling respite that awakens the senses and adds a touch of sunshine to any gathering.

Savor the Experience:

In conclusion, lemon vodka stands as a testament to the innovation and creativity that the world of spirits continues to embrace. With its zesty and invigorating essence, this delightful elixir caters to the diverse palates of spirit enthusiasts and cocktail aficionados. Whether sipped neat, enjoyed in a cocktail, or infused into culinary delights, lemon vodka promises a truly unforgettable experience. So, raise your glass, savor the citrusy notes, and embark on a journey of pure refreshment with every sip of this zesty elixir. Saluti!

Tasting Notes

Berries, tobacco leaf and chalky mineral perfume...

A hallmark of the 2023 vintage is beautiful acidity and fruit weight. Tannins are ripe and integrated with a soft plush red berry fruit and chalky, mineral ripe tannin. Some dusty tobacco leaf notes evolve with time in the glass and continue to sit beautifully with the other classic Cabernet Franc characters. Elegant and detailed, a lovely year for Cabernet Franc.

Process

Harvested on the 31st March, crushed to fermenters both large oak open tops and stainless steel. Ferments were pumped over daily or plunged. Primary fermentation was completed after 10 days. Pressed after 21 days and filled to oak with a portion being 40% new French oak barrels.

Bottled February 2024.
