An elegant Yarra Valley Chardonnay with notes of crunchy pear, citrus and white flowers with freshness and vibrancy. The palate is layered and textured with a bright fresh finish. Texture also plays a part in knitting together all the elements to give great persistence and length on the palate.

Awarded 91/100 by Huon Hooke and ranked #7 in the top 36 2020 Australian Chardonnays, with the following comments:

“The wine is intense and dry, crisp and alive, more front-palate focused, but not short either. Cashew nut emerging. A very tight, intense, lively chardonnay that whets the appetite. A Chablis-style chardy. Great value.” The Real Review.

 

THE FACTS

Harvested on 12th of March 2020. Hand picked. Whole bunch pressed to tank. Chilled and settled for 2 days then racked to oak including solids. Wild ferment commenced in oak after 3 days and was completed within 12 days. Approximately one third went through malolactic fermentation.
