Zoncello YV FAQ
Bookings
Can I add people to my booking once it’s made?
We are always happy to assist if you need to add people to your reservation.
If you need to increase guest numbers we recommend contacting us more than a week out from your booking to avoid disappointment.
Please keep in mind that we tend to book out in advance, so we cannot guarantee we’ll be able to increase your reservation when needed.
Do I have to arrive at my sitting time?
We maintain strict sitting times for all reservations and ask that you arrive on time for your sitting to avoid delays (and get the most out of your time with us).
Your sitting time and duration will be stated at the time of booking and in your confirmation email, so please take note of this.
We offer a 15 minute grace period for all reservations. If you are running later than this, please notify us so we do not give your table away.
Is there a wait list?
We are a busy restaurant and tend to book out in advance. If you’re unable to get a reservation on your desired date or time, please keep checking back on our online booking portal. If anything changes this is the first place that is updated with our most current availability.
Because of this, we do not keep a wait list for reservations. We advise booking in advance to get your desired date and time.
What is the cancellation policy?
For weekend reservations and groups over 8 on weekdays, we take a $20pp deposit to secure bookings. This payment is non-refundable once booked, and is discounted from your final bill on the day.
Does Zoncello cater for dietary requirements?
Our Menu contains allergens and is prepared in a kitchen that handles nuts, shellfish, gluten and eggs. Whilst all reasonable efforts are taken to accommodate our guests dietary needs, we cannot guarantee that our food will be allergen free.
If you or someone dining with you has dietary requirements, please let us know at least 72 hours prior to your reservation, otherwise we may not be able to cater for you.
What happens if someone in my group is unwell?
For all weekend reservations and larger groups on weekdays, we take a $20pp deposit from your final bill, but do understand that people get sick and are happy to assist you.
If a large portion of your group is unwell, or you as the host are sick and unable to attend, we’re more than happy to assist in postponing the event to another date that suits.
We understand you can’t help when you fall ill, but do ask for as much notice as possible. Please call us on (03) 5907 9730 or email info@zoncello.com.au if you’re unable to attend.
Celebrations
Can I bring decorations for the table?
Apologies, we do not allow any decorations or flowers for reservations. If you are joining us for a function or private dining experience, please enquire with us.
Can I bring a cake?
Yes, you are most welcome to bring a cake to our venue.
We charge a $25 fee to bring a cake. We will store it for you and provide the necessary plates, cutlery and a cake knife for you to cut and serve the cake yourself at the table.
If you provide candles with the cake, we are happy to bring the cake our lit for you, however we’re unable to provide candles for you.
Please notify us if you plan to bring a cake to your reservation at least 72 hours prior to the booking.
Alternatively, if you would like to bring a candle we can always put this in one of our desserts for you, then bring it out to the table.
Does Zoncello offer private functions?
We have a private dining space that can accommodate up to 20 guests for a sit down lunch or dinner. Please enquire with our team at info@zoncello.com.au for more information.
The Bar
What is the best way to and from Zoncello?
The drive to Zoncello is a lovely one and with plenty of things to do in Yarra Valley, you can make a day of it. We have generous on-site parking, too.
If you are planning to dine in a large group and want to travel together, we recommend looking into local bus group, tour groups or a private car service.
Taxis and Uber are not a reliable form of transportation in the area, so you may find it easy to get here, but it’s often difficult to get home (especially for dinner bookings). For this reason we suggest driving or arranging an alternative mode of transport.
Can I bring my dog?
We have a couple of small tables our the front, where you are welcome to dine with your dog. We are unable to allow them into any other spaces or our courtyard. We appreciate your understanding.
